12 july 2011

she loves nursery now, both asmall and moorgate, the teachers are lovely and seem fond of her... we went on holiday in a pod tent in wales and she loved it, going 'wow thats amazing' in langollen, getting lots of dairy for a change, ice cream and chocs. she loved splashing her feet in the river, no fear at all of falling on the slippery stones, then climbed a mountain with us with no real effort while i was panting far behind! still very physical with very good balance, loves kicking a ball. i am trying to teach her a bit of basketball too, would like a basket ball hoop in the garden. thats the only sport i remember enjoying as a teen... and high jumps too cos i was tall and thin. eczema seems to be getting better some days, then goes red again after we try a bit of dairy.
she likes rice now so might try a very mild curry for her soon.
behaviour: a bit naughty lately, i am blaming myself sometimes for losing patience , being stressed or tired doesnt help. she can be contrary, and doing things to deliberately annoy me. runs off a lot!
speech still very good but i also blame myself for not speaking enough french with her sometimes.
Art: drawings are taking shape, wallace and gromit in a rocket spitting fire is a current favorite, i taught her to draw flowers by drawing small circles around a big one, that I am proud of!
Letters: recognises the letters of her name and more. am sure she will be literary like me.
Loves participating, fairytales,(need to order hansel and gretel, pocahontas, nemo, jungle book) sad songs, bouncy songs, talking to everyone in the street about  her grandad who doesnt like strawberries, twirling like a ballerina, galloping (ballet), trying new dangerous physical stuff all the time!
very cuddly too and affectionate, talks about how certain boys she plays with are her handsome prince! today apparently spent the day 'marrying' Ethan at nursery ie cuddling him. found her with her arm around his neck sat on the floor with other kids at pick up time. when told her it was time to go home she said 'can i marry him for a bit longer? '
something tells me she wont be shy with boys and have lots of boyfriends maybe. scary!
adorable and devilish. unique Boo.

2 may 2011

first day at moorgate nursery where Mila was intimidated at first and held my hand when the kids were sat down in a circle for register. She said Good morning' when her name was called. She quickly relaxed outside when she spotted the climbing frames.
I was so proud of her when I picked her up. i love that moment when she sppots me and runs towards me to give me a hug. had a scoobidoo ginger bread man for her.
New phase: she asks questions: what are these? but what is that?
French: more french words coming out wiithout me saying them first. she understands lots and speaks more and more franglais.
mechant, poisson, coeur
still facsinated by older boy and their physicality: skaters, monkey bars show offs. obsessed with jumping from heights at mo.
so sociable and always desperately trying to make friends at the park, it usually works, if not, she gets upset. says about newly met kids:'hes my best friend!'
Is friendly with an older girl called Rihanna from neighborood, who goes to the little park and is sweet with her.
with alex: they are good friends and she understands sharing well. sometimes teasing alex, snatches toys from her, just because she can? they play at being hairdressers, hold hands and dance, hide under the table during the bike song ' naughty amn is coming moment.alex is much more placid and focused, mila a whilwind in comparison.hyperactivity?
attention: still hard for her to sit in a chair to finish a meal.
Sleep: finally better 8pm till 7 am if she doesnt nap. its been 9pm till 6 am with a nap for the whole winter which made us exausted and probably triggered 3 bouts of anemia for me.
she loves her first pair of trainers, i taught her what a tomboy is, not a boy, but a girl who likes climbing! she is attracted to boys toys and japanese style images/cartoons too like toy story. got her 8 badges of racing cars for 99p in a charity shop today as a gift for being good at nursery and a 1.99 summer dress.
she loves giving presents and seeing people being happy about a nice presents: nana giving me 6 cornflower plants@ do u like it' and I gave water to your flowers!
very cheeky/naughty in the evening, runs away if we want t

o put pjs on ect

new dresses for the boo

Dress made with printed corduroy and grey broderie anglaise. My best effort so far as the front is made with 2 pieces and some little pleats!

Another dress made with a mexican skirt of mine, a lovely electric blue fabric with embroideries and beads. I made a small skirt for me out of the remnants of the original skirt as it was abolutely massive!
